June 24, 2020

I believe the opening of cinemas for Ontario is in stage #3. No date for opening is still unknown. Other provinces have allowed to open cinemas,  but with restrictions. We are currently offering a take-out menu on Friday's and Tuesday's from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Fresh popcorn, nachos, sweet snack and cold drinks are available for pick up, just drop by.

Hello to everyone

Here is what I can tell you what is happening within my industry.

When the Ontario government allows us to re-open AND we feel it is safe to do so for you our guest and staff, we will re-open. This past week we had a Zoom meeting with Motion Theatre Association of Canada.  From the major cinema chains and Independent theatres/drive-ins in this meeting. Discussions on re-opening and how. From safety measures, protection and more....... The association will represent a plan for all cinemas in Canada to re-open and how to provincial governments.

Here what was discuss and some of the options:

Maximum number of patrons (percentage of seating) to begin to open with

Social Distancing in seating

Number of showing per day with stagger show times to allow social distancing

Box Office and Concession Sales and protection

Staff training and safety

Hand Sanitizer/face mask

Sanitation after every showing

We all must gain your trust to come back to the movies.

So, for us to re-open, when possible, everyone MUST do there part, social distancing, wash your hands and stay at home. We are in the first stage of of 3 levels of Doug Ford's road map to re-open the economy in Ontario. I still cannot give anyone a date for us to re-open.

We do miss you,

Tom & Christine Wright

There are other options we can do, for example: Reel Art Film Series events, Classic movies event, Re-runs of Block Busters, etc....... Still, the re-open date is unkonwn.

Christine and I, and our staff are healthy and staying home.

Stay at Home, social distancing, We miss you all.

Just a quick update:

Our re-opening date is unkown, maybe weeks or months. But more important when will the industry begin the release of new movies. They are all moving release dates of the movies to July or August and beyond. Some movies with no release date.

March 16, 2020 - 14:30 p.m.

There is no order to close our doors at this time (we still can be order to do so) by any level of government. The answer is simple, if you feel that you should not attend our bussiness during these hard times, then don't. Then we respect your decision. If you feel ill, stay at home, please.

We will start to monitor our attenance and reduce it as of March 17/2020. New seating compaticity are as follows: (for social distancing as a request)

#1 - 110

#2 - 85

#3 - 70

When changes happen we will let you know by our Website (this page), Facebook, telephone answering machine, etc.......

Dear Valued Guests,

We continue to monitor the status of COVID-19 and make adjustments to our business processes as necessary. YES WE ARE OPEN FOR BUSSINESS.

We are taking following protocols that support everyone’s health and wellbeing:

Reinforcing standards and operating procedures for food safety and personal hygiene
Continual cleaning/sanitizing of all areas, specifically high touchpoints in our lobby, concession and theatre spaces including self-service areas, hand railings, etc.

Grey Bruce Health Unit:

The Grey Bruce Health Unit as confirmed 2 cases of COVID-19 at 1:00 today (March 15/20) in Grey Bruce, at this time. They likely got the virus from a cruise ship.

The province has taken the unpreceded step of an extended closing of schools and advising all large group gatherings of 250 or more should be suspended. Many other organizations are following that lead.  Additional direction from the province includes not visiting hospitals and senior’s facilities and limiting all non-essential travel outside of Ontario.

We have not made any descions regarding reducing the seating compaticity (like other cinemas), (called social distancing) as we fall within the guidlines:
#1 - 227 seats
#2 - 172 seats
#3 - 143 seats

We are following the guidance of the Federal and Ontario governments and health authorities. As Canada is still considered “low risk” for the Coronavirus, these measures are precautionary but we are taking steps to be proactive.

We appreciate your patronage and we will continue to do everything we can to ensure the safety of our guests and staff.

Once again, we thank you for continuing to support us and, We Hope to See You, at the Movies!
